A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Thinking about a new website, a redesign or a little extra support? Here are the things clients often ask before getting started.

01 / YOUR QUESTIONS

Getting started

A little clarity before work begins.

How much will my website cost?

I’ll work with any budget, and every project gets 100% of my care and commitment. I’ll talk with you about what you need, what you can comfortably invest and how to make the most of it. I’ll recommend a realistic approach, with clear costs agreed before work begins.

How long will it take to build my website?

That depends on the size of your website, the features you need and how ready your content is. Once I understand the project, I’ll agree a realistic schedule with you and explain what I need at each stage.

What do you need from me to get started?

A conversation is a good place to start. Tell me about your business, your customers and what you want the website to achieve. If you have a logo, photos, written content or an existing website, bring those along too. I’ll help you work out what’s missing.

Can you improve my existing website?

Yes. I can look at what’s working, what’s holding it back and whether targeted improvements or a redesign would be the better use of your budget. A website health check or in-depth audit can help identify the right starting point.

02 / YOUR QUESTIONS

Your website

Built around what your business needs.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes, I can build your website so you can update everyday content such as text, images and blog posts. I’ll agree what you want to manage yourself and include guidance in the project, so you feel comfortable making changes.

Can you build an online shop?

Yes. I build online shops and help you plan how customers will browse products, place orders and check out. I’ll choose a suitable platform and agree the features your business needs.

Can you help with the words and images?

Yes. I can help you plan your pages and shape the content so it clearly explains what you do. I’ll agree what you’ll provide and any extra writing, photography or specialist creative work needed before it’s added to the project.

Will my website work on phones and be accessible?

I design for different screen sizes and build with accessibility in mind, including readable text, clear navigation and keyboard-friendly controls. I’ll discuss any specific accessibility requirements and the level of testing needed as part of the project.

03 / YOUR QUESTIONS

After launch

Support for the next chapter, too.

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes. I offer website maintenance and support, hosting and SEO services. I’ll agree the level of ongoing help that suits your website and budget, including what’s covered and any recurring costs.

Can you help with hosting and my domain name?

Yes. I can help with hosting and domain setup, or review what you already have. If a move is needed, I’ll plan it carefully and check any connected services, such as email, before making changes.

Who will own the website and have access to it?

I’ll make ownership, account access and any third-party licences clear in your proposal before work begins. You’ll know how your website and domain are managed, which accounts you’ll have access to and whether any ongoing licence costs apply.

Can you help customers find me on Google?

Yes. I offer SEO and local SEO, from improving your site’s structure and content to addressing technical issues. No one can guarantee a top position on Google. I’ll focus on practical improvements for the searches and locations that matter to your business.

04 / YOUR QUESTIONS

Working with me

A real person, from the first hello.

Will I work directly with you?

Yes. You’ll deal directly with me, Andy, from the first conversation through to launch and ongoing support. For projects that need extra expertise, I can bring in trusted creative partners while remaining your familiar point of contact.

Do you only work with local businesses?

No. I’m based in South Gloucestershire and work with businesses in Bristol, Devon and across the UK. I can meet you in person where practical, or work together by phone, email and video call.

How do I get a quote?

Tell me a little about your project, your existing website if you have one, and your budget and timescale. I’ll talk through the options with you and put together a clear proposal for the agreed work.

LET’S TALK IT THROUGH

Still have a question?
Ask Andy.

You don’t need to have everything worked out. Tell me what’s on your mind and I’ll help you find a sensible next step.
