Just ask Andy ↗

What’s the difference between a health check and a full audit?

A health check is a focused review of key pages and obvious problems. An in-depth audit covers a wider agreed set of pages, systems and customer journeys, with detailed findings and a prioritised action plan.

Can you fix the issues as well?

Yes. I can investigate and resolve agreed issues, then recheck the affected areas. Audit findings and repair work are scoped clearly so you know what is included and what any additional work will cost.

Can you review a website you didn’t build?

Yes. I’ll start with your website address, the platform it uses and any concerns you already have. I’ll confirm what can be reviewed and whether any specialist input is needed.

Will you need access to my website?

An initial look can use the public website. A deeper audit may need appropriate access to the website, hosting, analytics or search tools. I’ll agree what is needed and a secure way to arrange it.

Will an audit guarantee better rankings or a completely secure website?

No. An audit identifies issues within an agreed scope at a point in time. Fixes can strengthen your website, but search rankings, enquiries and security also depend on factors beyond that review.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the size of the website, its features, the depth of review and any repair work. I’ll agree the scope and price with you before starting.

CLEAR FINDINGS. PRACTICAL NEXT STEPS.

What you receive from an in-depth audit.

  • A record of the pages, features and customer journeys reviewed, with any access or scope limitations.
  • Evidence for the issues found, with an explanation of their likely effect on visitors or the business.
  • A prioritised action plan separating urgent problems from useful longer-term improvements.
  • A discussion of the findings and a clear quote for any fixes you want me to carry out.

Checks shaped around your website

Depending on the agreed scope, I can review mobile usability, accessibility barriers, page performance, search visibility fundamentals, links and redirects, enquiry forms, checkout journeys, and the WordPress update and backup setup. A review of visible security and maintenance risks is not a penetration test.

How fixes are handled

I’ll agree the changes and price first. Where appropriate, I take a backup and use a staging copy, then test the affected features and repeat the relevant checks after the work. You receive a summary of what changed and anything still outstanding.

Can this be done remotely?

Yes. Website health checks, audits and WordPress fixes are available to businesses across the UK. I’ll agree suitable access and how to share it securely before work starts.

Will an audit guarantee rankings or more enquiries?

An audit identifies problems and opportunities. Results depend on your website, market and the changes you choose to make. Findings and completed fixes can be checked; a Google position or number of enquiries cannot be promised.

GOOD THINGS START WITH A CONVERSATION

Something not quite right with your website?

Tell me what’s happening. I’ll work out whether a health check, a full audit or a focused fix is the right next step.
