Always Hope
Always Hope is a support platform offering information, guidance, and community for individuals affected by cancer. I was approached to design and develop a website that would provide free resources while also offering subscription-based access to a supportive online forum and further services.
The aim was to create a welcoming, trustworthy space that was easy to navigate, informative, and secure — while enabling Always Hope to manage memberships, concessions, and content independently.

What Was Delivered
I designed a clean, compassionate, and user-focused website that reflected Always Hope’s mission. A welcome video from the founder, Linda, was included as part of the new member signup process to create a personal and reassuring introduction.
Core Features
Cancer Lookup: A searchable directory of cancers, offering short descriptions and links to relevant community discussions.
Cancer Symptoms: Another searchable section providing symptom advice and signposts to forum support.
Registration & Subscription:
Custom registration form with dropdowns and free-text inputs.
Ecommerce integration for paid subscriptions (6-month blocks).
Automatic login management when subscriptions expire.
Secure user account area showing personal details and subscription status.
Forgotten password recovery built in.
Concession system allowing admin-approved free access.
Donate Page: Linking to an external donation platform.
Nutrition and Publications: List-style pages showcasing images, descriptions, and helpful resources.
Drug Interaction Checkers: A curated list linking users to verified external tools.
Success Stories: A blog section celebrating positive journeys within the community.
Forum: A secure, easy-to-use forum enabling registered users to connect, share, and support each other.
Appointment Calendar: A custom-built appointment calendar created with VueJS for both the front and backend, integrated with a secure payment gateway for bookings.
